It's a small world

So Jennifer and I were looking at getting new furniture. We found a new couch and chair on craigslist.org and after calling on it, I went to pick it up today in Issaquah.

After driving to Marysville to get Ben, we drove to 112th in Everett. I was telling Ben that this was one of the worst parts of Everett as we drove past Mariner high school. I guess that area is responsible for a high percentage of calls to the Snohomish County Sheriff. We drove to the UHaul/storage unit facility where I had reserved a truck the day before. After some wrangling and questions, the clerk discovered our truck had been stolen. She told us that a representative would call when they found a one way from Issaquah to Everett.

So Ben and I decided to drive to Issaquah and try to find something ourselves. I called the people who had the couch and let them know I was going to be late. The girl called me back and I let her know we were going to be there.

After finally finding a UHaul place and getting extra mileage, we drove to the address where the couch was at. A guy met us out front and we went up to the apartment. We walked into an apartment with three guys and one girl. Just as I thought one of the guys facing away looked familiar, he turned and Ben says "Jake, isn't that your brother??" IT WAS MATT!!! Of all the people in all the places from all the ads on craigslist.org.

It was a complete coincidence that I was buying his roommate's couch!

That's a great story. Craigslist is huge in the Bay Area and I have bought tons of stuff from it. What a coincidence.

Actually.....

I have been trying for months for jake and jen to come check out the apartment but they refused. Knowing their insistent need for a better couch having helped haul the old one at their move I devised a plan....ok no its a small world and im still shocked lol -MATTHEW STEELSMITH
