I received the email below regarding our website. I can't access Geni right now (where our family tree is being built), but I can't find much on the internet. If anyone knows, please comment or contact me.

His name is Samuel Steelsmith Braun.

Do you have any knowledge of the above named man.  He was born about 1899
in Pennsylvania.  He married Helene Jipp around 1929, and their son, Henry
Anson Braun, was my husband.  He, my husband that is, died in 1980 at the
age of 50.  Sam Braun was in vaudeville and had an act with a German
Shepherd named "Peter".  His sister, Betty Braun, was part of a vaudeville
act called "The Braun Sisters".  Betty married Ted Healey, a well know
vaudevillian who always laid claim to having discovered the Three Stooges.
Sam sometimes filled in for a third stooge.  Helen and Sam were separated,
perhaps divorced, when he died in Los Angeles, California in 1943.  Helene
herself, my husband's mother, died the following spring in Illinois under
mysterious circumstances.  Whoever filled out the death certificate for
Samuel (Amos) Braun included the name "Steelsmith" in the document.  I
must have been his mother's maiden name.  Family  lore says she was a
Broadway actress.  There is some connection to Connecticut during the
early days of his marriage to Helene Jipp.

Does anyone know of this man and what became of him that he died so young
in Los Angeles???

Any information is appreciated.
