Getting cold

Sure has been getting cold around these parts lately. And my heater went out in my car, just in time! Yessss. I wanted to mention a good way to find used parts for cars (with warranty) is the internet! There are several different types of services out there, such as http://getusedparts.com/ at which you fill out your contact information and specify the part you are looking for. From there your request is sent to quite a few different places.

Be prepared; You'll get many emails and a phone call or two, but you can be sure you are going to get a bargain on your part. A word of advice, wait a day or two because I've missed out on the best deals by jumping the gun. In my example, I needed a blower motor for my 2001 Accent. The dealership wanted $130.00 and Schucks wanted $150.00. Using this service, I got the part, with a 45 day warranty for $50 with shipping. Not five minutes after I ordered the part, I received an email from heritageautoparts.com stating they could get me the part for $45 with shipping with a 90 day warranty. I figure at that price I could buy 3 of them and still come out cheaper than Schucks.

I hope you like the Steelsmith/Stahlschmidt family crest I put on the website today. It was inspired by one I found on the web. That's us...a bunch of hammer yielding lions! =)

I'm not ready for Christmas, but close. Jennifer did most of the shopping and really did a good job thinking up what to get everyone. I've been extremely busy with work, the business, the gym and getting ready for the baby =) =) =)

I'll be adding some functionality and themes to the website when I get a chance...and if anyone sees any they like (http://drupal.org/), or any functionality they like, let me know.
